Real estate agents utilize QR codes

Real EstateRealty agents are now using QR codes to harness its simplicity and effectiveness to lure customers into checking out properties that are otherwise difficult to examine if purposely visited or searched through online.

A Saint Louis realtor expressed his thrill upon discovering the big marketing potential of the QR code. He mentioned that aside from the quick and easy feature of scan and check, he pointed out the cost of advertising that will be dramatically cut-down. In addition, he stated that wherever the potential buyers might be, they can check out properties and compare prices and listings.

Robin Auwerda of Keller Williams Realty expressed the same sentiment: “I don’t see it as replacing flyers or advertising, but it offers another way to get information to the consumer.”

QR codes can be a very handy tool for realtors, as some had already expressed. By simply scanning it, potential homeowners can get access to vast data such as property details, realtor contact information, taxes, previous transactions and open house events, among other else.

With the prediction that most people would be using smart phones in several years time, the technology would be readily available to consumers which are advantageous to the realtor. Another Keller Williams agent, Richard Daskam, pointed out that since scanning can be done using majority of the phone systems such as iphone, blackberry, Nokia and android, the viability of the marketing potential is very great.

An interested buyer can harness the QR code by simply scanning the 2D barcode design with an application on their mobile phone and they can access great deal of information stored up by the listing agent of the property they are checking out.
